I Screen, You Screen!

I've needed a place to keep my earring for a while and finally got around to doing something about it! I've seen these window screen earring holders on pinterest and thought I'd try it out myself. So I took myself down to the local hardware store to get some window screen for the whoppin price tag of $1.24...gotta love my local True Value! Next I was off to find a frame, enter H2O (Help and Hope to Others). This is seriously a gold mine! I have another find to share tomorrow and you're not going to believe it! Ok, back to my frame. I picked this beaut up for $1

Next, I peeled the paper backing and tape off. Not as easy as it sounds, that sucker was taped on pretty good!


I took all the contents and glass out until it was a lonely wood frame.

I headed out to the garage to choose my paint and low and behold I had 4 cans of paint(all in different colors)with NO PAINT left!

Knowing my motivation to finish this project would go as quickly as it came, I quickly searched for another can of paint...and what I found was metalic silver! It was sitting there in the bottom of the hubs work bench calling my name

I sprayed it down, let it dry, then stapled the window screen to the back of the frame with a staple gun. And...Voila!

I LOVE IT! It's so easy to keep track of my earrings now and find I wear them more often now that I can see them all!
